About Us

How beautiful are forget-me-not flowers!  From legends passed on through the years, it is believed that the wearers of the flower will never forget the ones they love. Here’s one of many stories of how the flower was named:

In medieval times, a knight and his lady were walking along the side of a river. He picked a posy of flowers, but because of the weight of his armor he fell into the river. As he was drowning he threw the posy to his loved one and shouted “Forget-me-not.” From then on it was often worn by ladies as a sign of faithfulness and enduring love.

In 2011, Donna Hayes began a campaign to remember those we love in the unsung story of the forget-me-not flower, remembering not only loved ones who have passed away, but those still living with disease who deserve to be honored as well.

So many times our loved ones stricken with cancer or other debilitating diseases have been forgotten. In some cases those battling with these same illnesses are tucked away and ignored. Thus the name “Y Forget Me” was created to help raise Cancer Awareness through the emblematic representation of the
forget-me-not flower.

The majority of the badge clip’s center ornament will represent the color of a cancer or disease. Each time it is worn, its owner will be reminded of the quest for a cure and help raise awareness of cancer and other diseases.
